REBHI, with the generous support of UNFPA, has officially launched a transformative capacity building training in Bama, Borno State. This impactful initiative is designed to empower grassroots actors—20 dedicated representatives from women and youth groups—through intensive training on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

The training marks a significant step in strengthening local capacity to address and advocate for critical health and protection issues in vulnerable communities. Participants are engaging in practical sessions, discussions, and interactive activities that equip them with knowledge, tools, and strategies to:

  • Promote awareness and access to SRHR services
  • Prevent and respond to cases of GBV
  • Serve as advocates and educators within their communities

By investing in community-based change-makers, REBHI aims to foster sustainable development and resilience, especially in conflict-affected areas like Bama. This project also aligns with our broader mission to improve health outcomes, promote human rights, and support inclusive community development across North-East Nigeria.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to UNFPA for their continued support in driving positive change, and to our partners, facilitators, and the resilient participants who are committed to creating safer, healthier communities.
