The Executive Director, Ajikatu Alkali Imam, of the Rehabilitation Empowerment and Better Health Initiative (REBHI), on behalf of the RESILAC II Project, attended the official handover ceremony of rehabilitated livestock and fishery facilities across several communities. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries and marks a significant milestone in strengthening livelihoods and enhancing food security within targeted communities.

As part of these interventions, the Ali Sherif Laboratory Unit was rehabilitated to improve animal health services and strengthen effective veterinary care delivery. In addition, the Zone One Hatchery Unit was upgraded to promote sustainable fish farming by providing beneficiaries with access to quality fingerlings at affordable rates, thereby improving productivity and supporting local aquaculture development.

Furthermore, the College of Agriculture Veterinary Clinic was enhanced to strengthen animal health services, ensuring that livestock owners and community members have access to quality veterinary care and improved livestock management support.

These interventions are expected to boost local economic activities, improve household incomes, and enhance the resilience of vulnerable populations. By strengthening access to essential livestock and fishery services, the initiative contributes to long-term sustainability, improved food security, and the overall well-being of communities across the region.

Together, we are building resilient communities and creating sustainable pathways for economic recovery and growth.
