Strengthening land security and promoting peaceful coexistence remain essential pillars for sustainable community development.

To advance these goals, Rehabilitation Empowerment and Better Health Initiative (REBHI), in collaboration with the Borno Geographic Information Service (BOGIS) and with support from the African Cities Research Consortium (ACRC), convened a Town Hall Meeting on Systematic Land Titling and Conflict Prevention.

The engagement brought together community members and key stakeholders to discuss the significance of secure land tenure and its role in fostering peace, stability, and long-term development within communities.

Key discussions during the meeting emphasized:

✅ The importance of proper land documentation and systematic land titling.
✅ The need for inclusive participation in land governance processes.
✅ Raising community awareness on land rights and responsibilities.
✅ Ensuring the active involvement and protection of vulnerable groups.
✅ Encouraging collective responsibility in preventing and reducing land-related conflicts.

Through collaborative dialogue and community participation, the meeting reinforced the importance of inclusive land governance as a pathway to reducing disputes, strengthening social cohesion, and promoting sustainable development across communities.
