Advocacy visit to SEMA

REBHI paid advocacy visits to SEMA, some selected IDP camps and Secondary schools in Jere L.G.A. The visit was to solicit support from SEMA to operate in the selected camps and schools in terms of guidance and safety and to inform the key stakeholders of the project. The selected IDP camps visited were, Faria, AK-amin, Elmiskin, Madinatu and Deribe. Similarly, Fori Day Secondary School, Mairi Government Day Secondary School, Old Maiduguri Government Day Secondary School, Shehu Sanda Kyarimi Secondary School and Ngomari Day Secondary School were the selected Schools visited in Jere. In all the schools and IDP camps visited various meetings were held with the Schools Principals and Camp key opinion leaders. Forty-four (44) community stakeholders were reached and the details of the desegregated data of the stakeholders reached during the advocacy visits were compiled.  Certain gaps were identified on the side of GBV actors in most of the camps visited. During our visit we noticed some level of willingness on the part of the IDP management and the school principal to cooperate and support the implementation of the project IADMHS. Several opinions were voiced out by the various stakeholders, which was noted to be integrated into the Situation Analysis Document.
