Increasing Access to Critical Dignity and Menstrual Hygiene Services of Women and Girls of Reproductive Age

The project ‘Increasing Access to critical Dignity and Menstrual Hygiene Service (IADMHS) of women and girls of reproductive age’ is a 10-month project (February – November 2020) funded by the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF) which is been implemented by the Rehabilitation, Empowerment and Better Health Initiative (REBHI) in Jere and Monguno LGA’s of Borno state.

The intervention seeks to address critical dignity and menstrual hygiene needs of women and girls through establishing a dignity kits production and assembly center with the aim of improving household income and facilitating social reintegration and resilience for women and girls. The project also seeks to strengthen inter agency coordination of GBV field response through coordination of the GBV sub-sector. The project target newly displaced vulnerable women and girls from priority internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in Jere and Monguno LGA of Borno state. Creating awareness/sensitization on GBV, training of Women Led Organizations (WLOs) and Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development (MoWASD) staff on MHPSS and GBV Case Management is part of the project to strengthen the capacity of local Actors.
